Today has been a conflicted day. While I’m focussed and also possitive overall, I’m conflicted by type A personalities who care less about details and who attempt to simply bend the truth to fit a predisposed position or outcome. I mean they do this even when the data and detail would steer otherwise.

This is why having a good Thinking Cap matters. I’m determined to stand on facts and data to inform my decisions and it’s gonna be very difficult for others to sway me even as they float around on wishes.

Not many are willing to do what it takes… To invest in themselves or their craft. I can’t be happy enough that somehow I’ve been able to do what I love and to get paid for it. So this morning on a beautiful day I’m at the car dealer waiting for them to wash Sophia and what am I doing…WORKING!

You see I know what I want, I’m not afraid of sacrifice, I know what success looks like, I know what it takes, and I’m willing to work for it! Let’s GOOOOOOO!!!!

Morning Joe…

Was a very nice morning in Bogotá today. I promised myself to do 1000 burpees while on this biz trip. I did get started this morning and realized that maybe I bit off more than I can actually chew… lol. Anyway, this morning I did 40 in total and it was taxing. In order to meet my goal I’ll have to do at least 60 more today.

So I had a nice healthy breakfast and then went for my Coffee at Juan Valdez Cafe across from my hotel.

Then I waited for a wonderful colleague to join me on my walk to the office.

So far so good in 2018… I’m planing to be very productive while here in Bogotá, Colombia.

Business Travel Flow…

Business travel is sometimes funny IF, and only if you are in a comedic mood. I have a great. Most times I am and I mostly laugh at travelers. All the weird quirks and mannerisms to include:

  1. nose picking
  2. booger eating
  3. eye booger picking
  4. sneezing or coughing in hands followed by wiping on pants
  5. General body part scratching (men and women, you would be amazed)
  6. the directionally challenged
  7. etc…

For me it’s pretty much a routine and methodical. It’s like a executing a well drafted plan. Even when things go wrong I always have a plan and a routine. I’m rarely frustrated or angry. 

So today I’m on my way to YYZ (Toronto) and because I have priority I’ve boarded first. But as always I end up with many butts and crotches way to close for comfort and everyone and then my shoulder gets molested… (laughing). Seriously folks boarding the plane bump me with luggage coats, kids, and crotches…. Yep… It’s all a pet of the travel flow!
